Scott MacLeod Bio

Scott MacLeod was born in Canada and moved to Nashville TN in 1987 to pursue Christian music. After about a year doors opened for him as he started playing drums with the David Mullen band — the new artist of the year. They were signed to the new Warner Brothers label… Warner Alliance. After a couple of years of extensive roadwork touring, doors opened for Scott to begin writing and producing music. Scott signed a songwriter deal with Sony Music in L.A. and worked for most of the Christian labels in Nashville as a producer/writer. Scott did this for eight years full-time. During this time he was able to experience many of the ups and the downs of the Christian music industry.

While the industry was “booming” Scott received a penetrating vision in 1995 called “Snakes in the Lobby” that had to do with the spiritual war that was ravaging the Christian music industry from the inside out. He wrote the vision into a small book that has now been translated into ten languages and has circled the globe setting musicians and creative people free from the spiritual struggle and trappings that plague and pursue creative people everywhere.

Unsatisfied with the Christian music industry in way that it was Scott and his music peers began to meet together in a weekly prayer meeting seeking God for His solutions and for purpose. During these times they were challenged by the words of Jesus in the scriptures — especially when it came to serving the poor.

Scott was convicted of primarily “serving God in the way that best serves him” and was prompted to stretch out of his comfort zone and to go downtown Nashville to serve the poor. The Lord blessed these and obscure outreaches on the wrong side of town and his peers were forever changed. Along with this for change came vision that evolved into a ministry. And a the ministry of “Provision International” was birthed for the purpose of meeting the practical and spiritual needs of the poor in Nashville and beyond.

Scott has a passion to see creativity and compassion (creative compassion) flow together to usher in the greatest HARVEST. Scott leads a music group called Harvest Sound which exists for the purpose of launching music and musicians into the harvest.
